Jannike Grut is born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, with a Danish father and Swedish mother. Later she's lived in Copenhagen, Denmark where she also got her BA in acting, and in Los Angeles where she had a workpermit for three years.

THEATRE, COMEDY, FILM
Grut performed a lot in both theatre, music theatre and stand-up comedy before she got into the films around 2009. Since then she has been seen in more than 50 productions, whereof several international. DURING 2024-25 she is seen in the highly acclaimed Netflix series "Barracuda Queens" Multiple awardwinning TV-series "Gaslight" where she got fantastic reviews as the narcisistic mother of Simon, one of the two lead roles. and TV series "Evil" (2022) with Gustav Skarsgaard.
Earlier multiple award winning film: "Garden lane" a feature also with 3 nominations and 1 win at the Swedish film Academy Awards.

VOICE ACTING: Jannike Grut has made numerous voice jobs through out her career. Both for serious companys, municipalities asf, commercials (for "good" causes), dubbing cartoons at Sun Studios and Egmont as well as VO:s and dubbing live-action.
She started her voice-career in the Swedish Radio P3 - in one of Swedens biggest radio comedy shows at the time, "Glädjetåget" at the national broadcast company SR, with Swedish comedy star Robert Gustavsson.


Grut's range from being in serious dramas like BECK, Hamilton, Wallander to Action comedy movies like in "The Duck pond" where she plays a Danish robber. In the Swedish television comedy series Katsching! she plays with renowned comedian Per Andersson and in the German TV drama "Der Kommissar und das Meer" ("Inspector and the Sea") she was in one of the leads.
