Annelieke Joosten Actriz
My passion for acting began when I was eight years old, after my parents enrolled me in acting classes. Since then, I’ve pursued many different acting programs, the most recent being the Full-Time Acting Program at the international drama school Mulholland Academy in Amsterdam, which I completed in 2019–2020.
I played the lead role in the short film Hel, which explores the theme of depression. For my role in Victory (Eindzege)—part of the One Week Film Project 2018—I received an honorable mention for Best Actress. I also starred in the post-apocalyptic short film Retina, which premiered at GoShort Arnhem in 2020. That same year, I played a leading role in the TV series MAUS, alongside actors such as Walt Klink and Loes Schnepper.
I’ve also appeared in several major national and international commercials, including campaigns for Citibank, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Volkswagen, and Zwitserleven.
In addition to acting, I’m a committed activist. I appeared in the television documentaries Alleenzaam and Tygo in de Psychiatrie, and in 2022, I hosted Niet alleen op de wereld, a talk show about loneliness among young people. I’ve written personal blog posts about my experience with depression for Socialrun, and published several engaging articles in VEGAN Magazine.
I’m also a dedicated vegan, and this lifestyle plays an important role in my work. I currently serve as the editor-in-chief of VEGAN Magazine of the Dutch Vegan Society (Nederlandse Vereniging voor Veganisme).
The mountains play a huge role in my life. As an ultra trail runner and mountaineer I travel to the Alps multiple times a year to go on adventures.
